The bike which will make its debut at this years Tour de Flanders features a new lightweight suspension system and flexible flat carbon fibre chain stays to create a suspension pivot in the rear triangle to ensure perfect riding comfort over rough terrain.

The new frame improves rider isolation from the road surfaces, and helps reduce fatigue. Jaguar’s engineers have applied their knowledge and experience in aerodynamics and ride analysis to help create an overall performance increase of 4.6%, and 50% improved comfort for the riders over rough terrains from the previous bike.

Pinarello’s partner Toray has given the company exclusive access to their T1100 1K Dream Carbon with a Nanoalloy Technology that gives the carbon fibre composite materials both strength and flexibility, while it enables nylon resins to change shape like rubber and absorb the shock when rapid and strong external force is applied.

Despite the new suspension system the Dogma’s frame weighs just under 1kg at 990 grams. After laboratory tests, which ensured safety and efficiency of the new frame, the new bike was tested on the last 130km of the Paris-Roubaix route, with Sir Bradley Wiggins and Christian Knees. Over long and regular cobbles sectors, Pinarello performed comparative tests with the previous DOGMA K. The data collected by Jaguar showed that after repeated runs on the cobble sectors with both bikes the new Dogma K8-S allowed an 8% increase in speed, while expending 10% less energy.

Say hello to the new 2014 Jaguar XFR-S, the fastest and most powerful sedan Jaguar have ever produced with some sleek carbon fibre additions.

The Jaguar XFR-S incorporates engineering features from both the XKR-S and the all-new F-Type two-seater sports car to create the most driver-focused, agile and responsive iteration of Jaguar’s XF saloon range. The XFR-S has been developed by Jaguar Land Rover’s specialist ETO division – its bespoke powertrain, chassis and body enhancements enabling it to push the performance boundaries.

The car has a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine which now boasts 550PS and 680Nm – up 40PS and 55Nm respectively over its XFR installation. The increases have been achieved through revisions to the engine management system and optimisation of the flow of air both into and out of the engine. The quick shift eight-speed transmission allows the Jaguar XFR-S to accelerate to 60mph in 4.4 seconds (0-100km/h in 4.6 seconds) and on to an electronically limited top speed of 186mph (300km/h).

The new, deeper front bumper incorporates larger lower central and side air intakes – the former framed in carbon fibre – in order to provide adequate airflow into the engine bay. Carbon fibre is also used to form the front splitter at the lower edge of the bumper, the first of a number of aerodynamic changes designed to smooth the passage of the car through the air at very high speeds.

The extended side sills and aeroblade mouldings behind the front wheels serve to create a sharp break-off point between the lower bodywork and the road surface in order to keep the airflow attached to the car’s sides for as long as possible.

The same thinking dictated the deeper side mouldings behind the rear wheels. This extended rear bumper also incorporates a central, carbon fibre diffuser, deeper than the item found on the XFR and which travels further under the rear of the car to reduce lift.

Rear lift is also reduced through the fitment of a bootlid-mounted spoiler to manage the airflow off the top rear surface of the car. Two options are available, both of which have been designed with the aid the dynamics to provide balanced aerodynamics. The larger of the two rear wings is constructed with a carbon fibre aerofoil centre section.

The combined result of the bodywork revisions is a reduction in overall lift of 68%.

Jaguar have announced the launch of its fibreglass Concept Speedboat designed to complement the launch of the XF Sportbrake car.

Jaguar Cars consulted with a yacht design specialists Seventy Seven Design and bespoke design project management company Ivan Erdevicki throughout the development of the Concept Speedboat. The Concept Speedboat has a gel coat fibreglass hull finished on top with a natural teak decking. This is split by a carbon fibre fin, inspired by the iconic Jaguar D-Type. The front of the boat flows seamlessly into the screen and the red 2+1 cabin follows the sporting character of Jaguar cars. Jaguar Cars’ heritage is also subtly recognised with fuel filler caps inspired by the Series 1 XJ. A polished aluminium propeller and pop-up mooring post imitates how the boat could be powered and docked respectively.

Ian Callum Jaguar’s director of design explains;

We recognise that both our existing and future customers enjoy diverse and active lifestyles. With the launch of the new Jaguar XF Sportbrake, we had an opportunity to create a vision of how our design philosophy might be applied to an alternative product, in which speed and beauty are also priorities. The Concept Speedboat looks powerful. It follows, in so many ways, the idea of a traditional speedboat but with the sleek and fast characteristics that you would expect from a Jaguar Car.

The Concept Speedboat has been a design project that was commissioned to support the launch of the XF Sportbrake and Jaguar has no plans currently to mass-produce this boat.

Jaguar has confirm that it will launch the remarkable C-X75 concept car as an exclusive hybrid supercar.

The Jaguar C-X75 will become the Jaguar’s most advanced model to date. It is claimed that It will offer performance on a par with the fastest production cars on the market, while adopting cutting-edge technology that offers remarkably economical running. Jaguar expects this hybrid supercar to deliver incredibly low CO2 emissions of less than 99g/km while being able to achieve in excess of 200mph.

People expect Jaguar to be innovators – that is when Jaguar is at its best, The C-X75 received an incredible reception as a concept car. We’ve been building on that momentum and there is a clear business case for this exclusive halo model. No other vehicle will better signify Jaguar’s renewed confidence and excellence in technological innovation than this.

said Adrian Hallmark, Jaguar Brand Director.

Project C-X75 will be the ultimate expression of Jaguar design and engineering innovation. The supercar will stay true to the initial concept that made its debut at the 2010 Paris motor show.

We were always determined that the Jaguar C-X75 would be as striking on the road as it was in concept form. This will be the finest looking and most innovative Jaguar ever produced. Even in the world of supercars, we can still produce the most beautiful.

said Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar Cars

In an unprecedented move, Jaguar C-X75 will be developed in association with Williams F1 who will provide their engineering expertise in areas including aerodynamics, carbon composite manufacture and hybrid technologies. This association will be at the leading edge of British automotive engineering and innovation. It also marks a new milestone in both company’s histories as Jaguar Land Rover and Williams collaborate for the first time to produce one of the world’s highest performance and environmentally sustainable supercars. The production of Jaguar C-X75 will create more than one hundred highly-skilled jobs in the UK.

The car chassis will be made of carbon-fibre to create an lightweight, yet rigidly strong structure. Aiding the transition from concept to production vehicle is the choice of powertrain. Jaguar continues to develop the use of the micro-turbine technology that was showcased in the original concept C-X75. Jaguar’s parent company Tata has taken a significant stake in Bladon Jets, and will develop this technology as a medium-term aspiration that will play a part in Jaguars of the future.

When C-X75’s motors and combustion engine combine, it will be one of the fastest production cars in the world, with a sub-three second 0-60mph time and a top speed in excess of 200mph. Crucially, this performance will be generated alongside incredibly low emissions, with a target of less than 99g/km CO2, thanks to Project C-X75’s lightweight construction and cutting-edge powertrain technology.
